About us

NETGRIF is a technology company developing platform for process driven applications based on Petriflow language that helps businesses of any size to digitize its processes.

Netgrif is coming up with an innovative application development solution based on process management. We have spent years of academic research on modelling and process management. In May 2017, at the initiative of Prof. Gabriel Juhás, PhD. we founded NETGRIF. Our goal is to provide solutions based on the NETGRIF Application Engine platform that combine the benefits of automation processes with custom application development. The development uses Rapid System Prototyping and therefore the first version of the application can be created during one meeting with the customer.

Petriflow is a graphical/ textual application language based on Petri nets. NETGRIF utilizes several decades of experience of Prof. Gabriel Juhás from research of Petri nets and Business Process Management and experience of Milan Šamaj from delivery of complex enterprise solutions. The development of NETGRIF products is led by Juraj Mažári and Milan Mladoniczky, former doctoral students of Prof. Juhás.

Petriflow was originally created in 2008 to teach students business process management and process driven application development. Several releases of Petriflow modeler and Petriflow engine implemented by founders of NETGRIF enabled hundreds of students to apply theory of Petri nets, workflow processes, and case management in agile development of different use cases inspired by real world systems. We were fascinated by the speed of the learning curve of the students and by the overall time during which they were able to build applications by deploying the Petriflow processes. After we have shown some of our PoC applications implemented in Petriflow modeler and deployed in Petriflow engine to people from industry, the positive feedback motivated us to implement the first commercial version of Petriflow modeler and Petriflow engine and to found NETGRIF company.
